This is a work in progress and there will continually be new resources  that I add.

Books to Read:

The New Rules of Marketing and PR by David Meerman Scott. – This is an excellent book, in fact I have yet to finish this book and feel absolutely confident in recommending it.  I usually speed read through books, but I make a point to read a little at a time with this book, then to think on it, then to put it into action, then I move on.  I want to make sure all that I read sticks with me and is a part of my everyday thinking.  I think one of the most brilliant things about this book is not really what is in it, not that it is not full of great content, because it is!  But it is really how it is written, how it is laid out. I constantly have ideas pop into my head, like wake up in the middle of the night and be ready with a pen ideas.  However, this book has everything written out for you so you can put your ideas along with what you learn from the enclosed content into action.  You can also see some great posts written at David Meerman Scott’s Blog – Web Ink Now

Twitter Tools To Use:

  • To track search terms related to your product, interests or clients there are two pretty nice twitter tools available, there is Twitter Search which allows you to use the advanced function and search for specific words/phrases, then you can add these to your RSS feeds.  This is free no matter how many search terms you look up and add to your feeds.
  • There is also TweetBeep that provides the same function, at this time I use only Twitter Search so I am not limited to the amount of alerts I set up, but if you want to pay just $3 per month, TweetBeep does have an added function of being able to alert you of domain names even if they are tweeted as short URL’s, plus you will then be bumped up to being able to receive 30 alerts.
  • UnTweeps- This application allows you to unfollow anyone on Twitter that you may be following that has not tweeted for a certain period of time, you get to choose the specific period of time and then you get to see the list before it does the mass unfollow so you can choose some to deselect if you wish.
